You, Me, and the World Makes 3

true storytelling about how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world.

Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 7:30pm
Arts Court Theatre, 2 Daly ave. Ottawa

A first time collaboration this September, Montreal's Confabulation (stories, true as we can tell them) and Ottawa StoryTellers' (un)told (original stories, told live) join forces to present three emerging storytellers telling tales from their own lives. With the support of storytelling coaches, these three have crafted their personal stories about relatable and unique experiences alike. Liz, John and Francesca take us on journeys that explore one's relationships to the self, others, and the world we all live in.

Tickets available at online (Eventbrite), or at the door.

The Storytellers

Liz Baron is a playwright, wine geek, and recent Ottawa transplant from Chicago. Her scripts have been developed and produced in New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, Omaha, and elsewhere, and she was last seen onstage as a writer/performer with the Chicago Neo-Futurists. She started dabbling in storytelling through the Moth a few years ago. Liz studied theater and English at Dartmouth College and received her M.F.A. in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University.

John Cotrocois is a Comedian, a Storyteller, and a Writer. He is a Centaur Theatre performer, and Confabulation Alum. John is an ordinary guy with extraordinary stories.

Francesca Esguerra has been writing ever since she became the self-elected editor of Canadian Girl magazine at the tender age of 8. She is a soon-to-be graduate of Concordia University’s English Literature program, where she read a lot of books she loves as well as some books she will gladly never open again (I'm looking at you, Joyce!). Current projects include: saving up to buy a dog, keeping her room clean, and telling as many stories as possible.
