Mindy Woolcott

Mindy has told in numerous schools in Ottawa, at the Ottawa Storytelling Festival, in churches, cafes, at birthday parties, at the YMCA, at daycares and seniors residences and Museums. She has occasionally dazzled captive pre-school audiences with recorder and vocals, as she adds chants, finger-plays and poetry to her telling. She has been with the Ottawa Storytellers for over ten years, and has attended various workshops given in Ottawa to improve and refine her telling.

Material

Mindy prefers to tell folk tales from around the world, legends / myths and contemporary first- person narratives. Mindy can custom design a program to suit the audience’s needs. Her preferred age range is 2 to 12 years old.

Availability

Days, evenings and weekends. Mindy can tailor a program or workshop to respond to any need, and requests a minimum of two weeks notice to do so.
